Walt Disney World visitors have three schedule changes to keep in view Sunday: Magic Kingdom’s daytime ends early, EPCOT changes its Food & Wine concert lineup, and the final EPCOT After Hours date of 2026 is approaching. The practical theme is timing—today’s most consequential change affects anyone planning a full evening at Magic Kingdom.

Magic Kingdom closes at 6 p.m. for tonight’s party

Disney’s official Magic Kingdom calendar lists regular operating hours of 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. for Sunday, September 20, following Early Entry from 7:30 to 8 a.m. The early close makes this a shorter-than-usual day for guests using standard park admission, so afternoon priorities should be set before lunch rather than left for the evening.

The reason is Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, which runs from 7 p.m. to midnight. Disney says party-ticket holders may enter Magic Kingdom beginning at 4 p.m. and do not need a separate daytime park ticket or theme-park reservation for that entry. Disney also lists every 2026 party date as sold out, so tonight is an operating-hours alert—not a last-minute ticket opportunity. Day guests should expect the regular park day to end at 6 p.m. and plan transportation or a move to another destination accordingly.

Grupo Manía begins a two-night EPCOT run

EPCOT’s Eat to the Beat Concert Series changes performers today. According to the official concert schedule, Grupo Manía performs Sunday and Monday, September 20–21, at America Gardens Theatre in World Showcase. The posted showtimes are 5:30, 6:45 and 8 p.m.

The concerts are included with valid EPCOT admission, although Disney notes that a theme-park reservation may also be required depending on the ticket. For visitors already touring the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, the three showtimes provide flexibility: an early set preserves the rest of the evening, while the 8 p.m. performance can anchor a later World Showcase plan. Arriving ahead of the preferred set remains sensible because seating is limited.

Final 2026 EPCOT After Hours arrives Thursday

The last scheduled EPCOT After Hours event of 2026 is Thursday, September 24. Disney’s official After Hours page lists the separately ticketed event from 9:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., with admission priced from $155 to $179 plus tax. Eligible Walt Disney World Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club members receive a $30 discount.

That makes this the final near-term opportunity for the event’s limited-capacity, late-night format at EPCOT before the calendar turns to the 2027 dates already posted by Disney. Anyone considering Thursday should verify current availability and the final event details directly with Disney before building a trip around it.

What to know before you go

Check TAQ’s Live Theme Park Wait Times before leaving for the resort and again during the day. Select Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios or Disney’s Animal Kingdom individually for a shorter, near-real-time view of posted waits and operating information for that park.

Today’s biggest planning risk is assuming Magic Kingdom will operate through a normal Sunday evening. Standard admission provides a daytime park window ending at 6 p.m.; EPCOT’s new concert run offers the clearest same-day alternative for an evening plan. More regional coverage is available at TAQ’s Florida Theme Parks hub.
