Monday brings two genuine last-call decisions and several operating changes across Central Florida’s parks. EPCOT’s pumpkin hunt and Universal’s Animal Actors show reach their final day, while Universal has also posted a substantially later reopening date for a major Islands of Adventure attraction.
Five planning points for Monday
- Animal Actors On Location has its final operating day before permanent closure.
- Jurassic Park River Adventure’s reopening has moved to Dec. 17.
- The Hogwarts Express closes Wednesday, Nov. 4, and plans to return Thursday.
- Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit at EPCOT ends today.
- SeaWorld and Busch Gardens open new seasonal programs this weekend.
Walt Disney World: EPCOT’s pumpkin hunt ends tonight
Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit is available through Monday, Nov. 2, while supplies last. The official listing prices the game board at $11.99 plus tax and says purchasers can claim the festival keepsake even without finding every pumpkin. Game boards and prizes remain subject to availability, so this is not a deadline to leave until the park’s final hour.
EPCOT lists regular hours from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today, with Early Theme Park Entry from 8:30 to 9 a.m. and Extended Evening Theme Park Hours from 9 to 11 p.m. for eligible resort guests. The broader International Food & Wine Festival continues through Nov. 21; only the pumpkin activity ends today.
Universal Orlando: one final show and two closure changes
Animal Actors On Location will be permanently closed beginning Tuesday, Nov. 3, to make way for a new experience. That makes Monday the final operating day for the 20-minute Universal Studios Florida show, subject to the day’s posted performance schedule and any operating changes.
At Islands of Adventure, Universal’s updated attraction page says Jurassic Park River Adventure now plans to reopen Dec. 17. The operator’s closure calendar lists the scheduled maintenance through Dec. 16, a major extension from the previously posted November window. December visitors should remove the ride from plans before the new date and confirm its status again before traveling.
A shorter interruption affects guests moving between Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure: the Hogwarts Express is scheduled to close Wednesday, Nov. 4, and reopen Nov. 5. Park-to-Park admission remains necessary when the train is operating; during Wednesday’s closure, visitors must use the front gates and outside transportation or walking routes to change parks.
Around Central Florida: weekend events replace Halloween
SeaWorld Orlando: Christmas Celebration begins Friday, Nov. 6, on select dates and is included with regular park admission. SeaWorld’s current event calendar lists the run through Jan. 4, 2027. A separate pin-trading event is scheduled Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. at Shoppes at Waterfront; the operator says guests trading from event boards must buy pins that day and show the receipt.
Busch Gardens Tampa Bay: Wild Oasis Kids Weekend runs Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 7-8, with activities scheduled from noon to 5 p.m. The official program lists animal-keeper experiences, acrobatic and bubble performances, and family activities in Wild Oasis. Christmas Town follows beginning Nov. 13.
Water-park note: Disney lists Blizzard Beach from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today while Typhoon Lagoon remains closed for refurbishment. Aquatica Orlando lists 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Universal Volcano Bay remains in its seasonal maintenance closure.
