Six Flags Over Texas is entering the final weekend of three overlapping fall programs. The park’s official event calendar lists Tricks and Treats, Oktoberfest and Fright Fest through Sunday, Nov. 1, giving visitors one last weekend to choose between family activities, food-and-drink programming and nighttime scares.

The events are not interchangeable. Six Flags describes Tricks and Treats as its daytime, “all fun, no fear” option. Its published guide includes a trick-or-treat trail, a costume contest at the USA Midway, the Skelebration Dance Party, a hay bale maze, pumpkin painting and a seasonal overlay at Casa Magnetica.

Families should arrive before the scares

The daytime schedule is the clearest fit for families with younger children or guests who do not want horror content. Six Flags says the costume contest is open to children and adults, while its broader 2026 fall-event guide distinguishes the family celebration from Fright Fest after dark.

Visitors interested in Fright Fest should confirm that their selected admission and any desired haunted-attraction access match the night they plan to attend. The event calendar describes Fright Fest as running on select nights rather than every operating day, so the date-specific park schedule remains the controlling source.

Oktoberfest adds a separate fall track

The park’s Oktoberfest page also lists Saturday and Sunday dates through Nov. 1. Its program includes a keg-tapping ceremony, a stein-holding contest and German folk music, alongside seasonal food and beverages. Six Flags cautions that entertainment, activities and ride availability can change.

That creates three distinct planning choices within the same weekend: daytime Halloween activities for families, Oktoberfest programming for visitors focused on food and live entertainment, and Fright Fest for guests seeking the nighttime horror experience. A group spanning several age ranges may want to arrive early for the family offerings and decide in advance who will stay after the park transitions.

The park’s 2026 season overview says Holiday in the Park begins Nov. 21, leaving a short gap after the fall finale. Before traveling this weekend, visitors should recheck the official calendar for current operating hours, event availability and any date-specific restrictions rather than relying on general seasonal dates alone.
