Frontier City will begin its 2026 Halloween season on Saturday, September 26, giving Oklahoma visitors two different experiences on the same operating days—and an important ticket distinction to understand before arriving. The park’s official events calendar lists daytime Kids Boo Fest and nighttime Fright Fest on select dates through October 31.
Regular admission covers entry to the park and fall events on eligible dates, but it does not automatically unlock the haunted mazes. Frontier City’s Fright Fest page says maze access requires a Haunted Attractions Pass. The operator currently lists that add-on from $20, while a same-night bundle combining park admission and maze access starts at $59; online processing fees and taxes may apply. Prices and availability can change by date, so guests should verify the selected visit before checkout.
Daytime and nighttime visits serve different audiences
Families with younger children can plan around Kids Boo Fest, a daytime program scheduled on select days from September 26 through October 31. The listed activities include a Storyteller’s Maze, trick-or-treat trail, mini-pumpkin decorating, crafts, games and character photo opportunities. The operator describes this portion of the day as family-friendly and designed to end before the nighttime scares begin.
Fright Fest is the more intense offering. Frontier City says it is not recommended for children under 13 and requires every guest, regardless of age, to hold paid park admission. The 2026 lineup includes the new Nightmare Mansion along with four other mazes: Cadaver Castle, Forgotten Freaks, Terror of Prosperity and Midnight Mausoleum. The park also lists three outdoor scare zones and multiple live shows. Maze admission remains separate even though scare zones and entertainment occur inside the park.
What to check before leaving home
Because both events operate only on select dates, visitors should confirm the official calendar rather than assume the park is open every day through Halloween. Guests planning to enter a maze should compare the bundle with separate park admission and the Haunted Attractions Pass, then confirm the total after fees. Families can also use the same date for daytime activities and rides, but should account for the park’s transition to the more intense evening program.
