Six Flags New England will begin its 2026 Halloween season on Saturday, September 26, giving visitors two distinct experiences at the Agawam park: a family-oriented daytime event and a more intense nighttime program. The park’s official event calendar lists both Kids Boo Fest and Fright Fest on select dates through November 1.
The most important planning detail is that admission to the park does not automatically include the haunted mazes. Six Flags currently lists a haunted-attractions pass starting at $20, excluding park admission, while a same-night bundle combining one-day admission and maze access starts at $65. Both online prices are advertised before processing fees and taxes and may change by date.
Daytime fun and nighttime scares
Kids Boo Fest is the daytime option, designed to finish before the evening scares begin. The park says the program will include a trick-or-treat trail, costume showcase, corn maze, pumpkin painting while supplies last, crafts and family entertainment. Families should still confirm the operating calendar and show schedule for their chosen date because attractions and entertainment can change.
After dark, Fright Fest will offer four ticketed haunted mazes—Midnight Mansion, Nightmares, Terror Tales and Camp Killamore—plus open-air scare zones and live shows. A new Carnival of Chaos scare zone joins Wasteland, Necropolis, Soul Harvest, Demon District, Slaughter Hollow and ScreamPunk. The park recommends using its mobile app for current showtimes.
Oktoberfest overlaps the opening weekends
Visitors who prefer seasonal food and live music can also attend Oktoberfest on select dates through October 12. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and features German-inspired food, imported beer, music, games and a stein-holding contest. That creates an overlap with both Halloween programs during the first three weekends of their run.
Guests traveling with teenagers should review the park’s current entry rules before leaving home. Six Flags New England says its chaperone policy has applied from park opening since June 26, 2026; visitors should check the linked policy for the latest age, identification and supervision requirements.
