Sesame Place Philadelphia begins The Count’s Halloween Spooktacular today, September 19, shifting the Langhorne park into a fall schedule built around dry rides, trick-or-treating and family Halloween entertainment rather than its summer water attractions.
The official event page lists the Spooktacular on select dates through November 1 and says the seasonal programming is included with park admission. Activities include trick-or-treat stations in Big Bird’s Beach, the Sesame Street Halloween Parade, dance parties, a Scarecrow Scavenger Hunt, character photo opportunities, themed games and seasonal food and merchandise.
For opening day, the park is operating from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. A separate Hello Halloween Spectacular begins at 11 a.m. on September 19 at the Oscar’s Wacky Taxi Stage. Families arriving specifically for that kickoff should plan to be through the gate before 11; the park advises that hours and programming can change.
Expect a dry-ride visit
The biggest operating difference from a summer trip is the attraction mix. Sesame Place describes the event’s ride offering as its themed dry rides and attractions. The park’s current ticket terms say select water attractions operated only through September 13, so visitors should not plan around the water park during the Halloween season.
Costumes are encouraged as part of the event’s family-friendly theme. The park calls the experience “not-too-spooky,” making it notably different from the evening haunted events running at several other Pennsylvania parks. The headline activities are designed for children and include daytime character entertainment rather than scare actors or haunted mazes.
Ticket details
As of September 19, the park lists date-specific one-day tickets starting at $47.99 online, compared with a posted front-gate price of $110.99 plus tax. A four-ticket online bundle is listed at $190 total and is valid on an operating day through November 1. Children 23 months and younger enter free. Parking, taxes and service fees are not included, and tickets are nonrefundable and nontransferable.
Operating dates vary, so families should confirm the calendar before buying an undated ticket. Admission covers rides and most shows, although the park notes that some experiences can require reservations or additional fees.
