Carowinds has opened SCarowinds for select nights through November 1, but visitors planning to enter the haunted mazes need more than ordinary park admission. The official event page lists a Haunted Attractions Pass starting at $10, plus processing fees and taxes, and makes clear that the pass is valid only on the selected night and does not include admission to the park.

That distinction is the central planning issue for this fall’s event. The ticket comparison shows that regular admission includes SCarowinds and other fall programming on scheduled dates, while the walk-through mazes require the separate pass. Carowinds is also selling an online bundle starting at $55 that combines park admission with maze access for the same night; an Express upgrade is available for guests who want a shorter wait.

The 2026 maze lineup features two branded experiences: Jason: Blood Reign and The Conjuring: Beyond Fear. Carowinds says the event runs on select nights from September 11 through November 1 and is not recommended for children under 13. Every guest, regardless of age, needs paid admission, so families should not assume a young child enters free simply because the event is aimed at older visitors.

Prices can change by date and purchase time. As of September 16, the park’s daily-ticket page shows a limited $39 online ticket offer ending Thursday, September 17, valid for visits through October 4. That ticket includes fall events on applicable dates but specifically excludes haunted mazes. The standard dated park ticket starts at $45 online, while the combined park-and-maze bundle starts at $55; each option can carry a processing fee of up to $9.99 plus tax.

Guests should also review the park’s current policies before choosing costumes or accessories. Face coverings that conceal identity are prohibited, although family-oriented themed attire is permitted, and weapons, pepper spray and similar items are not allowed. The park strongly recommends that an adult accompany visitors under 18 and says parents or guardians remain responsible for minors’ behavior.

Before buying, confirm that the selected date appears on the operating calendar and that every person has the correct combination of park admission and maze access. A guest who already has admission through a season pass or another ticket may need only the dated Haunted Attractions Pass; a guest without admission can compare the bundle with separate purchases.
