Six Flags New England’s 2026 event calendar puts both Kids Boo Fest and Fright Fest on select dates from September 26 through November 1, giving visitors two very different Halloween experiences at the Agawam park. The practical distinction is timing and ticketing: the family program runs during the day, while the park’s haunted attractions become the focus after dark.
Daytime activities are built for families
Kids Boo Fest is the lower-intensity option. Six Flags lists a trick-or-treat trail, costume showcase, corn maze, pumpkin painting while supplies last, crafts, Looney Tunes character appearances and two dance-oriented shows. The operator describes the program as a daytime event that takes place before the evening scares begin.
Families should still check the date-specific park calendar before leaving home. “Select dates” does not mean the event operates every day in the September 26–November 1 window, and individual activities can depend on the day, weather or supply availability.
Fright Fest requires a closer look at admission
The nighttime offering is more complicated. Six Flags’ Fright Fest page lists five haunted mazes—Slasher Circus, Midnight Mansion, Nightmares, Terror Tales and Camp Killamore—along with scare zones and live shows. Carnival of Chaos is advertised as a new scare zone for 2026.
Visitors should not assume ordinary park admission includes the mazes. Six Flags currently advertises a one-day admission-and-maze bundle starting at $65, plus taxes and a processing fee of up to $9.99. It also lists a haunted-attractions pass starting at $20, but that product does not include park admission. Both products can be upgraded for express access, and the displayed prices can change.
Oktoberfest overlaps the Halloween opening
Guests visiting early in the season may encounter a third event. Oktoberfest is scheduled on select dates through October 12, generally from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., with German-style food and drinks, live music, games and a stein-holding contest. That creates an overlap from September 26 through October 12, although entertainment times and ride availability remain subject to change.
The safest planning sequence is to choose the daytime or nighttime experience first, confirm the operating date, and then buy the product that matches the intended attractions. Six Flags directs visitors to its mobile app for the complete entertainment schedule.
