Passholder Appreciation Days ends today
Universal’s official event listing places the final day of Passholder Appreciation Days on Wednesday, September 30. The separate passholder hotel guide likewise limits the associated Appreciation Days hotel-rate window to travel through today, with savings of up to 40% on Sunday-through-Thursday stays at select hotels, subject to availability and restrictions.
Passholders should treat September 30 as a verification day rather than assume every recurring benefit disappears at midnight. Some ordinary passholder hotel discounts continue beyond Appreciation Days, while event-specific food, merchandise and giveaways may follow their own inventory rules. Check the terms attached to the particular benefit before making a special trip.
Universal Studios Florida closes at 5 p.m.
Universal’s live park-hours record lists Universal Studios Florida from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today. Islands of Adventure is listed until 8 p.m., Epic Universe until 8 p.m., Volcano Bay until 5 p.m. and CityWalk until 2 a.m.
The early Studios close is the essential planning fact for daytime visitors during Halloween Horror Nights season. Universal’s official HHN guide stresses that the event requires separate admission and advises daytime guests to check when the park closes for event operations. It also recommends using the Universal app for house waits and showtimes. Regular-park guests who want a longer evening should plan their park-to-park move before 5 p.m., rather than waiting for the transition period.
Universal Nights debuts Saturday at Epic Universe
The first Universal Nights event is scheduled for Saturday, October 3. Universal lists event hours from 9 p.m. to midnight, with ticket holders admitted from 7 p.m. and a starting price of $179 plus tax. The limited-capacity ticket includes after-hours access to the park’s five worlds, advertised attraction availability and specified snacks and beverages; availability and operating details remain subject to change.
Guests visiting Epic Universe Saturday should distinguish the regular park day from the separately ticketed night. A standard daytime ticket does not automatically include Universal Nights.
Four additional nights are currently listed for October 17, October 24, November 6 and November 20. Passholders may buy up to six discounted event tickets, with the published discount depending on pass type.
Volcano Bay closure now points to April
Universal’s updated Volcano Bay notice says the scheduled maintenance closure begins October 26, 2026, with reopening planned on or before April 1, 2027. Dates may change, but the update gives winter travelers a clearer planning boundary and makes three-park ticket or pass comparisons more important for trips during the closure.
