Halloween Horror Nights guests who use Universal Orlando’s Attraction Assistance Pass should complete one digital step before reaching the event: link both the daytime admission and same-night HHN ticket to the same Universal account.

Universal’s current park-information FAQ says a valid AAP alone is not enough to use Stay & Scream. The guest must also hold valid daytime admission and a Halloween Horror Nights ticket for that evening. Both admissions must be linked before visiting a designated pickup location for the wristband that confirms eligibility.

Return times begin only after a house opens

The assistance process does not create advance reservations for houses that have not started operating. Universal says haunted-house return times can be requested only after the house is open and a wait time has been posted. That makes the official app important for monitoring which houses are accepting guests and when posted waits begin.

A party should identify its first accessible priority before the event transition, but remain flexible if that house has not opened or posted a wait. The HHN planning guide advises guests to use scare zones, food locations and live entertainment during peak house periods, when lines may be longer.

Stay & Scream has a separate wristband step

Stay & Scream allows eligible guests already inside Universal Studios Florida to remain in designated areas and begin selected HHN experiences before the event’s formal 6:30 p.m. start. Universal lists wristband pickup near Guest Services from park opening, with additional in-park locations beginning at 2 p.m. near King’s Cross Station and Illumination’s Villain-Con Minion Blast.

For 2026, Universal says three houses—Stranger Things 5, Hellraiser, and Jack & Oddfellow: Chaos & Control—are scheduled to begin early access at 2 p.m. Select queues open at 4 p.m., more houses begin opening around 5:15 p.m., and all houses are scheduled to open by 6:30 p.m. The operator cautions that times and availability can change.

Plan for the event environment

HHN includes intense lighting, sound, fog effects and live scareactors. Universal describes the event as not recommended for children under 13. Guests who need accommodations should review the event-specific guidance before arrival and discuss individual needs with Guest Services rather than assuming a daytime attraction procedure transfers unchanged to every house.
