SeaWorld Orlando’s family Halloween program returns Saturday, Oct. 3, but families should distinguish the daytime event from the separately ticketed nighttime horror event before buying or packing.
The park’s current event calendar lists Halloween Spooktacular on select dates from Aug. 29 through Nov. 1, 2026. SeaWorld says the daytime program is included with regular park admission, so visitors do not need a separate Spooktacular ticket. By contrast, Howl-O-Scream operates on select evenings through Oct. 31 and requires its own ticket.
Bring—or buy—the correct candy bag
The most important small-print item concerns trick-or-treating. SeaWorld’s Halloween activities page says guests must use a SeaWorld reusable trick-or-treat bag to collect candy on the trail. The bags are sold at several park shops, including SeaWorld Store, Coconut Bay Traders, Trek Treasures, Golden Seahorse and Stroller Gifts. Families should budget for that purchase rather than assuming any bag brought from home will be accepted.
The same official page lists a Sesame Street Halloween Parade, storytime with Big Bird, a bubble trail, mermaid greetings and a dance party among the daytime offerings. Because show times and appearances can vary, visitors should check the day’s schedule after entering rather than treating every activity as continuous.
An allergy-friendly option is built into the trail
SeaWorld also describes a Teal Pumpkin Program for guests with food allergies. Participating trick-or-treat stations distribute teal tokens, which can be exchanged at Coconut Bay Traders for allergy-friendly items. That procedure gives families a clear first stop: ask a team member where to obtain and redeem tokens before beginning the candy route.
For context on what is new this season, SeaWorld’s Aug. 14 press release says the 2026 edition adds a Hotel Transylvania experience and runs on select dates through Nov. 1. The release also confirms the family event remains part of daytime admission.
The practical plan for Saturday is simple: verify the park’s operating hours, arrive with time to check the entertainment schedule, and decide in advance whether to buy the required reusable bag. Visitors staying for Howl-O-Scream should keep that evening’s separate admission and event rules distinct from the daytime Spooktacular program.
