Universal Orlando’s next important booking window arrives Tuesday, when Rock the Universe 2027 tickets and vacation packages go on sale. For visitors already in Orlando this weekend, the more immediate planning question is how to divide an evening among Halloween Horror Nights, the returning Dark Arts at Hogwarts Castle projection show and Death Eater appearances in Diagon Alley.

Rock the Universe sales begin Tuesday

Tickets and vacation packages for Rock the Universe 2027 go on sale Tuesday, Sept. 15. The separately scheduled Christian music festival returns to Universal Studios Florida on Jan. 22–23, with a Sunday morning service planned for Jan. 24.

Friday’s lineup is led by Elevation Worship and also includes Jamie MacDonald, Rave Jesus, Benjamin William Hastings, Strings & Heart, 1K Phew, Joseph O’Brien, Maddi Jane and John Allan. Saturday is led by Josiah Queen, with Katy Nichole, Franni Cash, CAIN, Megan Woods, gio., Peter Burton, Sam Wesley and Torey D’Shaun.

Universal says the initial on-sale options will include single-night admission and a “Rock Your Weekend” ticket combining both festival nights with daytime theme-park access. Before Tuesday, decide whether the priority is one headliner, the full concert weekend or a broader park trip. Universal has not presented the two ticket products as interchangeable, and the full terms and prices should be compared when sales open.

HHN weekend strategy starts before the fog

Halloween Horror Nights 35 continues on select nights through Nov. 1 at Universal Studios Florida. This year’s lineup includes 10 haunted houses, four named scare zones, additional street experiences and two live shows: Stranger Things: Return to Hawkins and Nightmare Fuel: Blood Noir. HHN requires its own event ticket.

Guests trying to cover the most houses should settle on an order before arriving. Universal’s current HHN guide recommends starting with houses near the back of the park because those near the entrance tend to fill first. Guests holding valid daytime admission or a Scream Early ticket, plus valid HHN admission for the same night, can use Stay & Scream and may begin entering select houses before the event’s general opening.

The guide also warns that participating rides may close before the event itself ends, so visitors should not automatically leave every attraction until after the houses. On-site hotel guests receive access to a priority HHN entrance from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., according to Universal’s event release. That benefit is a distinct entrance option—not an Express Pass and not guaranteed front-of-line access to every house.

Universal is advertising hotel savings of up to 30% for stays of five nights or longer at participating properties. Compare the full lodging price and cancellation terms against shorter stays rather than treating the percentage alone as the value; HHN admission and premium upgrades remain separate purchases.

Dark Arts and Death Eaters add two more evening decisions

Guests who want seasonal atmosphere without devoting the entire night to HHN have options in both Wizarding World areas. Dark Arts at Hogwarts Castle is running on select nights at Hogsmeade in Universal Islands of Adventure through Nov. 1. The projection show, returning for the first time since 2022, uses mapped imagery, lighting, music and effects on Hogwarts Castle.

Across the resort, Death Eaters are appearing in Diagon Alley at Universal Studios Florida on select days and nights through Nov. 1. The locations are in different parks, and HHN occupies Universal Studios Florida on event nights, so guests should not assume one admission product or a late park hop will cover every seasonal offering. Check the official app for that day’s park hours and entertainment schedule before choosing a route.

What to know before you go

Check near-real-time posted waits for Florida parks before committing to a route. Select Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure or Epic Universe individually for a shorter park-specific view. During HHN, use the dedicated “Universal Studios — HHN” selector for available haunted-house waits instead of mixing those queues with daytime attractions.
