LEGOLAND New York’s Brick-or-Treat begins Friday, Oct. 2, two days before the resort’s advertised $49 open-dated ticket offer expires. Families planning an October visit should separate those two deadlines: the Halloween event continues through Nov. 1, while the current online ticket promotion ends Oct. 4.

The resort’s event guide says Brick-or-Treat is included with day tickets, hotel packages and select annual passes. The program is designed as a family-friendly daytime event rather than a separately ticketed nighttime haunt.

Plan before leaving: Check New York attraction conditions in the TAQ park app, and follow continuing coverage on the New York parks page.

Candy starts at 2 p.m.

The most important scheduling detail is that trick-or-treating does not run all day. LEGOLAND says its 10 candy stations begin operating at 2 p.m., with bags available at the stations. The park lists four themed candy areas—Graveyard of Ghouls, Creatures of the Kingdom, Happy Harvest and Monster Band Boulevard—and directs visitors to look for a skeleton character or pumpkin-bucket icon on the map.

Other included activities begin earlier. The official lineup lists a park-opening character welcome, Halloween mosaic and model builds, monster meet-and-greets, the Great Monster Chase 4D movie, a dance party and a Zombie Cheer Crew performance. The Dragon coaster also receives temporary music and lighting as the Disco Dragon Coaster.

The $49 offer has a shorter clock

LEGOLAND’s ticket page advertises $49 open-dated tickets valid for visits through Nov. 1, compared with a listed $99 front-gate price. The promotion is scheduled to end Oct. 4. Dated tickets remain available outside the promotional window, and children younger than 2 do not require admission.

Visitors should not assume the park operates daily during the event window. The resort’s operating calendar shows the park closed Sept. 30 and Oct. 1 and says fall hours vary by date and special event. It recommends confirming the specific operating day and closing time before buying or traveling, with real-time show and ride information available through the resort app.

The practical strategy is to choose an operating date first, compare the promotional ticket with dated admission and any pass benefits, then plan candy collection for after 2 p.m. Brick-or-Treat admission may be included, but parking, food and optional upgrades remain separate planning decisions.
