Six Flags Great Adventure is running three overlapping fall programs through November 1, but visitors need to match the time of day and ticket product to the experience they actually want. The park’s event calendar lists Kids Boo Fest and Oktoberfest on select days, while Fright Fest operates on select nights.
Families get a daytime option
Kids Boo Fest is the low-scare choice. The Jackson Township park schedules it on select days from September 12 through November 1 and describes the program as daytime entertainment before the nighttime scares begin. Activities include musical and dance performances, storytelling, a costume contest and trick-or-treating for children 12 and younger.
The event page currently advertises a family pack starting at $39 per person. That offer requires at least four tickets in one order, is valid only on the selected date and requires every member of the group to enter before 2 p.m. Six Flags also discloses a processing fee of up to $9.99 plus applicable taxes. Families arriving later should not assume the family-pack price will apply.
Oktoberfest overlaps the Halloween calendar
The park’s Oktoberfest also runs on select days from September 12 through November 1. Its published lineup includes the Gutentag Players, German-inspired food and beer, with activities described as family-friendly. Entertainment, activities and ride availability can change, so the event listing is a planning guide rather than a guarantee that every item will operate on every date.
Nighttime mazes require the right product
Fright Fest runs on select nights from September 18 through November 1 and is not recommended for children under 13. The 2026 lineup includes new mazes based on Friday the 13th and Final Destination, while the park’s long-running Dead Man’s Party stage show has returned for the season.
Standard admission and haunted-maze access are not the same purchase. The park’s ticket page currently shows an online park ticket at $45, compared with a $90 gate price, while a Fright Fest bundle combining park admission and haunted mazes starts at $80. Both online prices can carry processing fees and taxes, and date-specific availability can change. Visitors who want the mazes should confirm that their checkout product explicitly includes them.
The practical approach is to choose the experience first: arrive before 2 p.m. if using the qualifying family pack, plan daytime hours for younger children, and select a maze-inclusive product for the nighttime haunted attractions. Confirm the operating calendar again before traveling.
