Worlds of Fun opens its 2026 Halloween season today, September 19, with two distinct experiences: family-focused Tricks and Treats from noon to 6 p.m., followed by Halloween Haunt during a park day that runs until 11 p.m.
The split matters for trip planning. The park’s official operating calendar lists Worlds of Fun open from noon to 11 p.m. today, while Oceans of Fun is closed. Tricks and Treats runs from noon to 6 p.m.; the adult-oriented scares take over after the daytime program winds down.
Tricks and Treats is included with valid admission and eligible passes. The daytime lineup includes a trick-or-treat trail, a children’s hay-bale maze and pumpkin activity, crafts, a costume contest, character encounters and live entertainment. Families should note that Planet Snoopy closes at 5 p.m. on Haunt dates, and some attractions may close during the afternoon for the nighttime conversion.
Halloween Haunt runs on selected Fridays and Saturdays through October 31, plus Sunday, October 25. Six haunted mazes are included with admission rather than sold as a separate maze package. The park also lists four scare zones, live shows, rides after dark and seasonal food. A Fright Lane upgrade is available for visitors who want priority access to the mazes.
The most consequential rule is the all-day chaperone requirement on Haunt operating dates. Under the park’s Halloween code of conduct, every guest age 17 or younger must enter with a chaperone who is at least 21 and carries government-issued photo identification. One adult may accompany no more than five minors, must remain with the party and must stay for the entire visit.
After 6 p.m., each guest may bring only one bag measuring no more than 12 by 12 by 6 inches. All bags are subject to inspection, guests age 12 and older may not wear costumes, face paint or masks during Haunt, and the park does not permit re-entry after 6 p.m. Those restrictions apply even to passholders.
The park is advertising a buy-one-get-one Haunt ticket offer for purchases made by October 4, with tickets usable on one operating day through October 11. Eligible Enchanted Parks passes, older Gold and Prestige passes purchased before April 6, and existing memberships include Haunt admission, according to the event page.
