Silver Dollar City begins the nighttime portion of its Harvest Festival on Friday, September 18, extending the Branson park’s fall program beyond daytime craft demonstrations. Pumpkins In The City runs through October 31, with illuminated displays, evening rides and family activities beginning at 5:30 p.m. on event nights.
The shift matters for visitors choosing between an afternoon trip and a full festival day. Craft Days started September 11, but the glowing pumpkin installations and expanded Plaza program begin September 18. Silver Dollar City says more than 20,000 pumpkins appear across the park, including carved pieces, large sculptures and specimens weighing more than 1,000 pounds.
What changes after dark
The nighttime program includes the lantern-filled Canopy Sky, Foggy Hollow, a three-story pumpkin greeter and character photo opportunities in the Plaza. The park also advertises dance parties and access to rides after dark. Because operating hours vary, visitors should confirm their date on the official park calendar before finalizing travel or dining plans.
Families should also note two practical restrictions. Guests may not wear costumes at Silver Dollar City, and only selected shops remain open until the park closes during Harvest Festival. Those rules make the event different from a conventional trick-or-treat night and are worth considering before children arrive dressed for Halloween.
Food remains a major part of the festival, with limited-time soups, stews, skillets, beverages and pumpkin- or apple-based desserts offered around the park. An optional tasting ticket covers five tasting-size items and is valid through October 31. Visitors planning to sample several dishes should compare the add-on with individual menu prices rather than assume it is automatically the better value.
Concerts add two high-demand Saturdays
The park’s 2026 festival calendar also lists Aaron Tippin at 7 p.m. on Saturday, September 19, and Sara Evans at 7 p.m. on Saturday, September 26. Guests visiting on either date should expect the concert schedule to shape evening traffic and should verify current admission details directly with the park.
