Democrat Annie Andrews won South Carolina’s statewide election for the U.S. Senate, defeating Republican interim Sen. Darline Graham, according to an explicit Associated Press race call.

The AP result report was published at 9:15:33 p.m. Eastern time on Nov. 3, 2026. It identifies Andrews as the winner of the South Carolina Senate contest. Election-night returns remain unofficial until the state completes its canvass and certification, and no incomplete vote total is presented here as a final margin.

Federal Election Commission records list Andrews as the Democratic challenger for South Carolina’s Senate seat and Graham as the Republican candidate. Graham had been serving on an interim basis after the death of her brother, longtime Sen. Lindsey Graham.

Andrews is a pediatrician who previously ran for the U.S. House in 2022. She entered the Senate campaign before the vacancy changed the contest and built a campaign centered on health care, the economy and political accountability. Graham won a special Republican primary and received President Donald Trump’s endorsement.

The result makes Andrews the first woman elected to the U.S. Senate from South Carolina. It also gives Democrats their first Senate election victory in the state since Fritz Hollings won his final term in 1998, according to the AP.
