Kings Dominion’s Halloween season starts Friday, Sept. 18, with an important ticket distinction: admission to the park does not automatically include its haunted mazes. The park’s [official Halloween Haunt page](https://www.sixflags.com/kingsdominion/events/haunt?ref=theamericanquorum.com) lists a date-specific Haunted Attractions Pass from $10 online, plus a processing fee of up to $9.99 and applicable taxes. A package combining park admission and maze access starts at $55 online, before fees and taxes.

The nighttime event runs on select dates through Nov. 1\. The announced maze lineup includes the new Diablo: The Infernal Path, CornStalkers: Blood Harvest, F.E.A.R., GrimmWoods, Blood on the Bayou and Trick or Treat. Scare zones and live entertainment fill out the evening program, while the park advises guests to use its app for current showtimes because schedules can change.

## A strict chaperone rule applies

Families and teen groups should plan around the park’s chaperone policy. During Halloween Haunt, guests age 17 or younger must be accompanied by someone at least 21 to enter or remain in the park. One chaperone may accompany no more than 10 minors, must show government-issued photo identification with a date of birth, remain in the park and be reachable by phone. Kings Dominion says enforcement begins by 11 a.m. and may start earlier.

The chaperone requirement applies to ticket holders and season passholders alike. Guests age 16 or older may also be asked for government identification to verify age. That makes identification a practical packing requirement even for older teenagers who are visiting with an adult.

## Daytime option begins Saturday

Visitors seeking Halloween atmosphere without the intense scares have a separate option beginning Saturday, Sept. 19\. Kings Dominion’s [Tricks and Treats](https://www.sixflags.com/kingsdominion/events/tricks-and-treats?ref=theamericanquorum.com) is a daytime, family-focused event offered on select dates through Nov. 1, before the nighttime scares begin. The announced lineup includes a trick-or-treat trail, costume contest, Witch Sisters appearances, a dance party, pumpkin decorating and mask-making.

The park’s [seasonal calendar](https://www.sixflags.com/kingsdominion/events?ref=theamericanquorum.com) lists Halloween Haunt from Sept. 18 to Nov. 1 and Tricks and Treats from Sept. 19 to Nov. 1, both on select dates. Guests should confirm their specific date and operating hours before traveling, then decide whether they need ordinary admission, a maze add-on or the combined package.
