[SCarowinds is running on select nights through November 1, 2026](https://www.sixflags.com/carowinds/events/scarowinds?ref=theamericanquorum.com), and the most important planning detail is that park admission does not automatically unlock every haunted attraction. Carowinds sells access to its haunted mazes separately, so visitors should decide before arrival whether they want a standard fall visit or the full evening lineup.

The event began September 11 and is advertised for guests 13 and older. This year’s program includes the new Jason: Blood Reign maze and The Conjuring: Beyond Fear experience, along with four other listed mazes, multiple scare zones and nighttime entertainment. Carowinds says a Haunted Attractions Pass is required for its macabre mazes, but that pass is not valid for The Conjuring: Beyond Fear; guests interested in that experience should verify the specific add-on they need before purchasing.

## Tickets are layered

Carowinds’ [current ticket page separates general admission from maze access](https://www.sixflags.com/carowinds/daily-tickets?ref=theamericanquorum.com). As of September 17, a dated park ticket starts at $45 online, while an SCarowinds bundle pairing admission with haunted-maze access starts at $55\. The park also lists a $39 limited-time ticket valid through October 4, but explicitly excludes The Conjuring: Beyond Fear and haunted mazes. Online purchases can carry processing fees of up to $9.99 plus taxes, and prices may change.

Families seeking a daytime option can use the same admission for [Tricks and Treats on Saturdays and Sundays through November 1](https://www.sixflags.com/carowinds/events?ref=theamericanquorum.com). That event is presented separately from the nighttime scares and gives families a less intense way to visit during the fall calendar.

## Know the evening rules

The park’s [published SCarowinds policies](https://www.sixflags.com/carowinds/code-of-conduct?ref=theamericanquorum.com) can materially affect a visit. Guests who leave after 7 p.m. cannot re-enter, including for forgotten items or weather-related exits. Visitors ages 15 and younger must be accompanied by someone at least 21; one chaperone may supervise no more than five minors, must remain in the park and must be reachable by phone. The chaperone policy is in force by 2 p.m., though Carowinds may start it earlier.

Guests 13 and older may not wear costume masks, full face paint or costume attire, while children 12 and younger may wear costumes and masks only during designated daytime events. Recording devices are prohibited inside haunted mazes.

**Plan before leaving:** Check the [North Carolina park dashboard](https://parks.theamericanquorum.com/?country=US&state=NC&ref=theamericanquorum.com) for current operating information, and visit [TAQ’s North Carolina theme-park archive](https://www.theamericanquorum.com/north-carolina-theme-parks/) for continuing coverage.
