Six Flags Darien Lake begins its family-focused Kids Boo Fest on Saturday, September 19, giving western New York visitors a daytime Halloween option on the same weekend that the park’s Oktoberfest concludes. The operator’s [event page](https://www.sixflags.com/darienlake/events/kids-boo-fest?ref=theamericanquorum.com) schedules Kids Boo Fest for Saturdays and Sundays through October 11, 2026, in Corfu.

The distinction matters for families deciding when to visit: Kids Boo Fest is designed as a low-scare daytime program before the park’s nighttime Halloween atmosphere takes over. Six Flags says the event is included with park admission and lists a trick-or-treat trail, hay maze, photo opportunities and character meet-and-greets. Children 12 and younger may join a costume parade at 3:30 p.m. at the Boo Brother’s Bay Stage, while a Monster Mash dance party is also aimed at that age group.

## Ticket timing can change the price

For opening weekend, the most consequential detail is the cutoff attached to the family offer. The [Kids Boo Fest ticket listing](https://www.sixflags.com/darienlake/events/kids-boo-fest?ref=theamericanquorum.com) advertises a family pack starting at $25 per person, requires at least four tickets in one order and requires everyone in the group to enter before 2 p.m. The same page displays date-specific online park admission at $35, compared with a $70 gate price, with taxes potentially added. Because prices and availability can move, visitors should confirm the selected date before paying rather than treating those displayed figures as fixed for every operating day.

This weekend also closes another seasonal window. Darien Lake’s [official Oktoberfest page](https://www.sixflags.com/darienlake/events/oktoberfest?ref=theamericanquorum.com) runs the event on select dates through Sunday, September 20\. It lists German-style food, imported beer, live entertainment and a stein-holding contest; alcohol purchases and consumption require guests to be at least 21 with valid identification. The operator also warns that entertainment, activities and ride availability may change.

That overlap makes September 19 and 20 the only remaining dates advertised for visitors who want the daytime Halloween programming and the final Oktoberfest weekend in one trip. After Sunday, Kids Boo Fest continues on weekends through October 11, but Oktoberfest is no longer on the published calendar. Families should use the Six Flags app for current showtimes and in-park directions.
