Six Flags Great Adventure begins its 2026 Fright Fest season Friday, September 18, with an important ticket distinction for visitors: park entry and haunted-maze access are packaged separately in the operator’s current offers. The event runs on select nights through November 1 at the Jackson Township park, according to the [official Fright Fest page](https://www.sixflags.com/greatadventure/events/fright-fest?ref=theamericanquorum.com).

The operator lists a Fright Fest bundle that combines same-night park admission with haunted-maze access starting at $80 online, before processing fees and taxes. An all-season haunted-attractions pass starts at $75 and covers maze access throughout the fall, with an Express upgrade available. Because those products are separate from the basic admission language, visitors should confirm exactly what their ticket or season pass includes before arriving rather than assuming every Halloween attraction is covered.

Two mazes are new for 2026: *JASON: Blood Reign*, based on the Friday the 13th franchise, and *Final Destination: Death’s Playground*. The announced lineup also includes The Conjuring Universe, Army of the Dead, Asylum, Twisted Holidays, Deadwood Cabin, Big Top Terror and The Witch’s Reflection. Outdoor scare zones and live shows are also listed, but the park directs guests to its mobile app for current showtimes and cautions that schedules can change.

## Age guidance and evening rules

Six Flags says Fright Fest is not recommended for children younger than 13, and every visitor needs a paid admission ticket regardless of age. Families and teen groups should also check the park’s [current policy page](https://www.sixflags.com/greatadventure/code-of-conduct?ref=theamericanquorum.com) before traveling. It gathers the park’s chaperone, bag, dress, re-entry and Fright Fest rules in one place, and violations can lead to removal without a refund.

Visitors seeking a less intense fall visit have a daytime alternative. Great Adventure’s [Oktoberfest](https://www.sixflags.com/greatadventure/events/oktoberfest?ref=theamericanquorum.com) operates on select days from September 12 through November 1 with German-inspired food, beverages, live brass-band music and family activities. Entertainment and ride availability remain subject to change, so checking the operating calendar shortly before departure is advisable.

Additional planning coverage is collected in the [New Jersey theme-park archive](https://www.theamericanquorum.com/new-jersey-theme-parks/). Both pages can be saved before travel for quick mobile reference.
