Valleyfair’s family-oriented Tricks and Treats event is scheduled for Saturdays and Sundays from Sept. 26 through Nov. 1, giving Minnesota families 12 daytime event dates across six weekends. The park’s [official calendar](https://valleyfair.enchantedparks.com/calendar/experience-the-magic-of-tricks-and-treats/2026-09-26/?ref=theamericanquorum.com) lists hours from noon to 5:30 p.m.; after the opening weekend, 10 dates remain.

The most useful change for families managing food allergies is Valleyfair’s participation in the Teal Pumpkin Project. The park says [non-food options](https://valleyfair.enchantedparks.com/tricks-and-treats/?ref=theamericanquorum.com) will be available at participating locations identified by a teal-pumpkin symbol. The event is included with valid park admission and eligible season passes, while some midway games carry an additional charge.

The daytime program includes a trick-or-treat trail, roaming characters, crafts and family rides. The operator’s [event schedule](https://valleyfair.enchantedparks.com/tricks-and-treats/?ref=theamericanquorum.com) lists the Enchanté Soirée at the Chateau from 12:15 to 5 p.m. and a costume contest at 12:30, 2, 3:30 and 5 p.m. Other listed performances include the Skelebration dance party, Spectral Sisters, BeanBoozled and Kandy Clown. Entertainment and operating details can change, so visitors should confirm the day’s schedule before traveling.

Saturday visitors should plan carefully around the 5:30 p.m. close. Valleyfair’s [transition rules](https://valleyfair.enchantedparks.com/park-info/valleyscare-visitation-information/?ref=theamericanquorum.com) require every daytime guest to leave before ValleyScare. Entry to the nighttime event requires a separate ValleyScare ticket or qualifying season pass, and eligible guests re-enter through the Steel Venom gates while the park changes over. Tricks and Treats admission alone does not carry into the evening event.

Families staying for ValleyScare also face stricter nighttime rules. Guests 17 or younger must be accompanied by someone at least 21, one chaperone may supervise no more than five minors, and the adult must present physical government-issued photo identification. The evening event also has a no-re-entry policy and limits bags to clear bags smaller than 12 by 12 by 6 inches or non-clear wristlets and clutches no larger than 5 by 8 by 2 inches, according to the same [visitor policy](https://valleyfair.enchantedparks.com/park-info/valleyscare-visitation-information/?ref=theamericanquorum.com).

Before leaving home, visitors can check TAQ’s Minnesota [wait times](https://parks.theamericanquorum.com/?country=US&state=MN&ref=theamericanquorum.com) and review the continuing [park archive](https://www.theamericanquorum.com/minnesota-theme-parks/) for operating updates. Superior Shores Waterpark is closed for the season, so fall visits center on Valleyfair’s dry rides and scheduled Halloween programming.
