Disney’s Animal Kingdom visitors planning a Conservation Station stop should treat the Wildlife Express Train as a timed connection, not an all-day transportation loop. Disney’s current calendar lists the train from 9 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., while Conservation Station remains open until 5 p.m.

The [Wildlife Express Train](https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/attractions/animal-kingdom/wildlife-express-train/?ref=theamericanquorum.com) departs from Harambe and takes about seven minutes to reach Rafiki’s Planet Watch. Its published 4:15 p.m. end time means a late-afternoon visit requires more planning than attractions located along the park’s main walking routes.

## What is at the other end

Disney’s [Conservation Station guide](https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/attractions/animal-kingdom/conservation-station/?ref=theamericanquorum.com) lists operating hours from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The area includes animal-care exhibits, activities focused on wildlife and conservation, and views into parts of Disney’s veterinary work.

The current program also includes Bluey’s Wild World at Conservation Station, described by Disney as a place for dancing and games, plus Jumping Junction with kangaroos and wallabies. Wilderness Explorer activities are another option, but availability can vary during the day. None of those offerings changes the need to use the train to reach and leave the area.

## The last train shapes the visit

A family arriving close to the final outbound service could have a compressed window before the facility closes. The safer plan is to board earlier, decide which activities matter most, and confirm the return-train procedure with a cast member on arrival. Disney can adjust attraction hours and operating details, so the My Disney Experience app remains the final same-day reference.

Guests prioritizing animal viewing should also account for separate attraction schedules. Disney lists [Kilimanjaro Safaris](https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/attractions/animal-kingdom/kilimanjaro-safaris/?ref=theamericanquorum.com) as an 18-minute guided ride through a 110-acre habitat with more than 30 species. Weather, animal behavior and operational conditions can affect the experience, making an earlier safari generally easier to fit around a later Conservation Station visit.

## Early entry does not open this connection early

Animal Kingdom may offer 30-minute Early Theme Park Entry to eligible Disney resort and select hotel guests. That benefit can help with listed attractions participating in early entry, but it does not move the train’s published start to park opening. Visitors should use the early period for an eligible priority, then shift toward Harambe after the Wildlife Express Train begins operating.

The practical sequence is simple: use early entry if eligible, complete a high-priority ride or animal experience, then reach the train well before the final published departure.
