LEGOLAND California’s family-focused Halloween event returns Saturday, Oct. 3, for the first of 10 remaining dates through Nov. 1, but the admission rules differ sharply by ticket and pass type.

The resort’s [official Brick or Treat page](https://www.legoland.com/california/things-to-do/seasonal-events/brick-or-treat/?ref=theamericanquorum.com) lists events on Oct. 3–4, 10–11, 17–18, 24–25 and 31, plus Nov. 1\. The event is included with a valid dated park ticket for an event day. Premium and Elite passholders may attend without buying a separate ticket, while holders of Silver, Gold, Platinum, Standard and Preferred passes must buy a dedicated passholder ticket, currently advertised from $24 per person.

## What changes this weekend

The 2026 program adds Brick or Treat Street, an interactive route with six life-size monster homes and a light trail. The resort’s [planning guide](https://www.legoland.com/california/our-company/blog/brick-or-treat-guide/?ref=theamericanquorum.com) says the Halloween atmosphere and candy stations operate from 3 p.m. until park close on event days, rather than throughout the full operating day. Families should therefore treat the afternoon start as the practical dividing line when planning rides, meals and the seasonal activities.

The same guide says paper treat bags are available at event check-in and guests may bring their own bags or baskets, provided they meet the normal bag-check rules; wheeled bags are not allowed. It also warns that allergy-friendly treats are not currently offered and that candy may contain or contact common allergens. Guests with allergy questions are directed to the event booth or Guest Services.

## Friday is not an event day

Visitors arriving Friday, Oct. 2, should not assume the weekend program has begun. LEGOLAND’s [published calendar](https://www.legoland.com/california/plan-your-visit/planning-tools/opening-hours/?ref=theamericanquorum.com) lists the theme park from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Water Park closed and SEA LIFE Aquarium from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The operator cautions that hours and attraction availability may change, so guests should recheck the calendar or resort app before departure.

For Saturday and later event dates, the important purchase check is not whether Brick or Treat has a separate general-admission charge; it generally does not. The question is whether the guest holds dated admission for that event day or a pass tier that includes entry. That distinction can turn an otherwise valid annual pass into an additional-ticket requirement at the gate.

Readers comparing other California parks can use TAQ’s [California Theme Parks](https://www.theamericanquorum.com/california-theme-parks/) page. Current wait times, park hours and local weather are available through the publication’s standard parks service.
