[Knott’s Scary Farm is now operating on select nights through October 31](https://www.sixflags.com/knotts/events/scary-farm?ref=theamericanquorum.com), bringing a separate-admission nighttime event to Knott’s Berry Farm with two new mazes and entry rules visitors should review before arriving.

The 2026 season opened September 17 in Buena Park. Knott’s says the event transforms the park with haunted mazes, scare zones, live shows and more than 1,000 performers. The operator does not recommend the event for children under 13, and every guest needs a paid event ticket regardless of age.

## Tickets and add-ons are separate

[Dated admission currently starts at $69 online](https://www.sixflags.com/knotts/scary-farm-tickets?ref=theamericanquorum.com), while a season-long Scary Farm pass is listed at $164\. The Fright & Fast Lane add-on begins at $139 and covers haunted mazes plus select rides, but it does not include event admission. Group tickets for 15 to 99 people start at $60, and military or first-responder tickets start at $65\. Taxes may apply, and displayed prices can change by date or availability.

The event page lists two new haunted mazes for 2026: Inked, built around a fictional 1930s animation studio, and Unearthed, set at a disrupted archaeological excavation. A new Color Collect feature also lets guests use an interactive lantern to activate six color stations around the park. The lantern is optional and sold separately.

## Bag and chaperone rules can affect entry

The most consequential planning details are in the park’s [current security policies](https://www.sixflags.com/knotts/code-of-conduct?ref=theamericanquorum.com). During Scary Farm, clear plastic bags must be smaller than 12 by 12 by 6 inches. Non-clear wristlets and clutches may be no larger than 5 by 8 by 2 inches, and all bags are subject to search. Costumes that conceal a guest’s identity are prohibited.

Guests age 15 or younger must enter with a chaperone who is at least 21\. One chaperone may accompany no more than 10 guests in that age group, must remain in the park and be reachable by phone. Guests age 16 or older may be asked for government-issued photo identification to verify their age. The operator notes that these policies may change, making a final check before departure worthwhile.

Families seeking a daytime alternative should note that [Knott’s Spooky Farm begins September 24](https://www.sixflags.com/knotts/events?ref=theamericanquorum.com) and runs Thursdays through Sundays through October 31, plus Columbus Day. It is a different event from the nighttime Scary Farm program.
