**Friday’s Central Florida park calendar turns on two nighttime changes: Magic Kingdom closes early for a separately ticketed Halloween party, and Universal Studios Florida shifts into Halloween Horror Nights.** Saturday then brings a short anniversary celebration at Universal CityWalk and the next Brick or Treat date at LEGOLAND Florida. EPCOT visitors also have a new Food & Wine Festival feature beginning today.

## Five developments to plan around

- **Magic Kingdom closes at 6 p.m. tonight** before Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.
- **EPCOT adds its Cheers to Cheese! stroll today** as the Food & Wine Festival continues.
- **Halloween Horror Nights reshapes Universal Studios Florida tonight** and requires separate event admission.
- **Toothsome’s anniversary celebration runs Saturday from 3 to 6 p.m.** at Universal CityWalk.
- **LEGOLAND Florida’s next Brick or Treat date is Saturday**, with the event included in general park admission.

## Walt Disney World: an early close and a new EPCOT option

The biggest same-day operational issue is Magic Kingdom’s 6 p.m. close. Tonight’s Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party runs after the regular park day and requires separate admission, so guests without party tickets should avoid building dinner, parade or attraction plans around a normal Magic Kingdom evening. Arriving party guests and departing day guests can also overlap around transportation and the entrance. [Today’s Disney World update](https://www.theamericanquorum.com/orlando-disney-update-2026-09-18/) has the full timing and additional entertainment changes.

At EPCOT, the Food & Wine Festival’s Cheers to Cheese! stroll begins today. The activity is a purchase-based food trail rather than a separate ticketed event, making it a flexible add-on for visitors already touring the park. Disney’s Friday update also flags fresh entertainment changes at Hollywood Studios and Casey’s Corner; those are useful for visitors with fixed park reservations, but the Magic Kingdom close remains the development most likely to force an itinerary change.

## Universal Orlando: HHN tonight, Toothsome on Saturday

Halloween Horror Nights is a separate-ticket event at Universal Studios Florida tonight. Universal’s [official 2026 HHN guide](https://blog.discoveruniversal.com/events/guide-to-halloween-horror-nights/?ref=theamericanquorum.com) says guests with same-night HHN admission may use Stay & Scream only when they also have valid daytime park admission or a Scream Early add-on. Those guests may enter from 2 p.m. and access at least three houses before the event officially begins. Standard HHN admission does not include parking, and Universal warns that some rides close before the event ends.

For touring order, Universal recommends starting with houses near the back because front-area queues tend to build first. Costumes and costume masks are not allowed on regular HHN nights, and the event is not recommended for children under 13\. [Today’s Universal Orlando report](https://www.theamericanquorum.com/orlando-universal-update-2026-09-18/) also covers a daytime seasonal offering in Springfield.

Tomorrow, Saturday, September 19, The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen holds its [10th Anniversary Celebration](https://blog.discoveruniversal.com/news/celebrate-the-10-year-anniversary-of-the-toothsome-chocolate-emporium-savory-feast-kitchen-at-universal-citywalk/?ref=theamericanquorum.com) from 3 to 6 p.m. Universal lists character appearances, chocolate displays and activities, a family-focused chocolate-origins presentation, a photo opportunity and an engraved chocolate coin. The event window is brief, but the restaurant’s anniversary menu remains available through September 30.

## Around Central Florida: Brick or Treat returns Saturday

LEGOLAND Florida’s next [Brick or Treat](https://www.legoland.com/florida/things-to-do/seasonal-events/brick-or-treat/?ref=theamericanquorum.com) date is Saturday, September 19\. The family event is included with general theme-park admission and select passes; a separate event ticket is not required. This year’s additions include the interactive Brick or Treat Street walkthrough, the Potion Mischief light trail and Halloween changes to Galacticoaster. Candy stations operate from 2 to 7 p.m., and the official calendar lists additional dates through November 1.

LEGOLAND’s Water Park is closed today, while the resort lists the main theme park and SEA LIFE Florida from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Peppa Pig Theme Park Florida from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Hours vary by date, so Saturday visitors should recheck the resort calendar before departure.

## Check waits before you move

Open [**TAQ’s Florida park-wait dashboard**](https://parks.theamericanquorum.com/?state=FL&ref=theamericanquorum.com) before leaving and again before changing parks. Select an individual Disney, Universal or participating Florida park for a shorter near-real-time view. During HHN, choose the dedicated **“Universal Studios — HHN”** selector for posted haunted-house waits rather than mixing them with daytime attraction queues.
