Democrat Adam Hamilton won Kansas’ statewide election for the U.S. Senate, defeating Republican incumbent Roger Marshall, according to an explicit [Associated Press race-call bulletin](https://apnews.com/article/84215e24897947c28d25beffee7cdc73?ref=theamericanquorum.com).

The AP bulletin was published at 11:25:16 p.m. Eastern time on Nov. 3, 2026\. It identifies Hamilton as the winner of the Kansas U.S. Senate contest. The call establishes the projected winner; vote totals remain unofficial until Kansas completes its canvass and certification, so this report does not present incomplete election-night counts as final results.

Federal Election Commission records identify [Hamilton as the Democratic challenger for Kansas’ Senate seat](https://www.fec.gov/data/candidate/S6KS00312/?cycle=2026&election%5Ffull=true&ref=theamericanquorum.com) and [Marshall as the Republican incumbent](https://www.fec.gov/data/candidate/S0KS00315/?cycle=2026&election%5Ffull=true&ref=theamericanquorum.com). Marshall was seeking a second term after winning the seat in 2020.

Hamilton is the founding pastor of the United Methodist Church of the Resurrection in the Kansas City area. He campaigned as a centrist focused on living costs, health care and political division. Marshall emphasized his record in office and alignment with President Donald Trump.

The result ends a 94-year drought for Kansas Democrats in U.S. Senate elections. The AP reported that George McGill, elected in 1932, had been the last Democrat to win a Senate race in the state.
